Mat Inventory Acquisition
Northern Bridge & Mat Rentals finalized an agreement to purchase Peak Energy Services oak access mat inventory. This acquisition strengthens our market position with inventory in several new locations throughout British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan. In conjunction with the purchase of the oak access mat inventory, NBMR hired Peak's former Matting Manager, Ron Modrall to manager our operations in Fort Nelson, BC.

Project: Chicken Run Road Access

Scope of work: Provide temporary portable bridges and mats to span creeks and maintain access during the construction of 14km of high grade road. Crossing lengths were 40' to 120' in length. Permanent structures were installed by Ruskin Construction upon completion of the high grade road.

Scope of work: Supply and install 80' Oilfield Portable Bridge to access north side of Carrot Creek. The existing bridge on site was old and condemned and therefore unavailable and unsafe for use.

Project: South Wapati 3 km access

Scope of work: Supply and install 3 ply oak matting for 2km of access road and 100m x 100m lease (2200 mats) to allow access to area for drilling purposes. Access road and lease consisted of wet muskeg area and very soft sandy ground. Some ground was so wet and soft matting was double layered to keep vehicles traveling on the temporary road stable.

Scope of work: Supply and install 2 km of matting (1000 mats) to allow pipeline crew to access area to install pipeline. Pipeline crews and equipment worked off of the mats to dig trenches and install pipeline.

Scope of work: Supply and install matting for 2.5 km of access road and 110mx 110m lease. Approx 2400 mats were used to gain access to the location and mat the lease itself to allow for Drilling rig, Service rig and pipeliners to complete the wellsite.

Project: Sierra Lease

Scope of work: Supply and install matting for 400m of access and 110m x 110m lease. Ground conditions consisted of very wet muskeg. Entire area was matted using 2 layers of mats to provide extra floatation and stability for vehicles traveling to the site and the drilling rig drilling on the site.
